This year Paul veron and myself started the cormorant colour ring project with our first visit to
godin on the 13 th April on arrival we noticed a lot of juvinile cormorants that were ready to fledge
even though we were at least 2 weeks earlier then last year it seems that we might have missed
them again but we managed to ring 15 pullie with colour rings and metal rings there were still
some nests with eggs and small chicks so we decided on another visit in 10 - 14 days time
with the help of Pauls brother Chris and his rib we took a visit on the 2nd of May and managed
to ring another 15 pullie with a total of 30 birds colour ringed on Godin
in between these dates on the 21st April we went across to Lihoumel and rung another 10
cormerant pullie it was a great start to the cormarnt project . many thanks to Pauls brother Chris
